7.06 Consequences by KK & JG (Part III)

JG: We cut from Lois’s depressed expression to Chloe’s determined one.
AM: Oh no.
JG: She is sitting in a hospital room at Moira’s bedside holding her hand.
KK: Chloe gives a weepy speech about how she can heal strangers but keeps failing with her own mother.
AM: Is Chloe going to spend this whole episode either crying or crazy?
KK: That’s the general idea, yeah.
[AM puts her head down on the table]
JG: Sex appears next to Chloe, sitting on the bed. “It’s time to stop this, Chloe. You don’t know what these repeated attempts are doing to her, or to you. You need help.”
KK: “I can do this myself!”
JG: Sex tells Chloe that there are some things she can’t fix.
KK: “You’re wrong. I can fix her and I’m not going to stop until I do.”
JG: Sex shakes his head sadly and disappears as Chloe stands up and steps closer to her mother.
KK: “I know it will work this time, Mom.” Chloe takes Moira’s head in her hands and closes her eyes. Suddenly Moira starts seizing and alarms go off on her life support system. Doctors rush in and push Chloe out of the way. Lots of medical babble for a frantic minute as they examine her. Then one of the doctors switches off the alarms on the machines and all but one of them file out of the room. Pitying looks at Chloe.
JG: “I’m sorry Miss Sullivan, we’re no longer reading any brain activity. I’m afraid I have to officially declare her brain dead.”
KK: “No, she can’t be dead. That’s not what’s supposed to happen.”
JG: “There’s nothing more we can do. It’s time for you to consider freeing her from these machines. I’ll give you some time to say goodbye.”
KK: The doctor leaves and Chloe cries.
AM: You can’t have Chloe be responsible for her mother’s death.
KK: This is my episode, Mack. Now where was I?
JG: Chloe’s beloved new powers backfired on her and she destabilized her mother’s brain chemistry.
KK: Right. She manages to choke out “I will find a way to fix this Mom” before she leaves the room sobbing.
AM: No way. That is going way too far. I’m calling for a veto.
KK: Fine, we’ll vote on it. All those in favor of the veto and shifting the target of my revenge?
[AM quickly raises her hand, TW and ED slowly follow suit]
AM: You’re kidding me. You guys can’t honestly let her do this!
AoT: I’m sorry dear but this is exactly the kind of issues that I want this show dealing with.
MR: And I’m not pissing off Kristen. Just look at what she’s already done to your character.
KK: Well, it was a good try Mack. Now back to the episode.
JG: Cut to Lex’s office. Hope is perched on the edge of his desk as Lex talks on the phone. “That is not negotiable. We meet on neutral territory or not at all… Tell Hassad, I’m thru dealing with his intermediaries. You can get in touch with my assistant when you’re ready to discuss logistics.” Lex hangs up. “You know what to say when they call?”
KK: “Yes, sir.”
JG: “Good. I want thorough security sweeps for at least 24 hours before the meet. Handle it personally.”
KK: “Of course, sir.” Lex’s cell phone rings.
JG: “Luthor.”
KK: Cut to Lana at an anonymous phone booth somewhere in Metropolis. “Hello, Lex.”
JG: “Lana? Where are you?” He motions to Hope to start a trace on the call.
KK: “I’m back in Metropolis. But then, I’m sure you knew that.”
JG: “Well, I didn’t think you were calling from beyond the grave.”
KK: “The teams you’re sending out are good. I know I can’t escape them much longer.”
JG: “Does that mean you’re going to stop trying?”
KK: “Yes. I’m tired of being hunted. It’s time we sit down and talk.”
JG: “About how you left me or how you faked your death and framed me for murder?”
KK: “Please, Lex, I know you’re angry. I’ll come to you. Just let me talk to you.”
TW: Lana is begging Lex? What are you paying them, Michael?
JG: “All right. I’ll be here at the office.” He hangs up on her.
KK: Hope is annoyed. “Is that really a good idea, Mr. Luthor?”
JG: “It is if I say it is. You will show her in as soon as she gets here.” Lex looks at the wedding picture on his desk and turns in face down.
AM: He’ll be begging Lana to take him back five seconds after she walks in.
MR: No, he won’t!
KK: I wouldn’t bet on it, Mack.
AM: Michael! You’re working with them aren’t you?
MR: We may have had a few character discussions.
[KK looks at MR and smiles. AM jumps up]
AM: I need a break!
[AM runs out as KK sits back and smiles.]
