as retold by Maniac64 & PhantomChic
KK: When we come back from the opening credits, it's night. Lois is arriving at Masque wearing a black leather cropped top, hot pants, and tall boots; along with a black cape and a black and purple pointed mask.
ED: Ooh, fun!
TW: Isn't that Huntress' costume?
MR: Well, she is meeting the Question.
TW: She is?
MR: Victor Sage.
KK: The bouncers take one look at Lois's costume and point her to the back room. Lois opens the door, revealing a long passage. She follows it thru a few twists and turns, it's not quite Phantom of the Opera, but it should give a similar feeling.
MR: During this we have a quick cut to Clark in the club. He's followed Lois to protect her. And ear canal shot shows us he's tracking her.
AOT: If Clark's in the club, does that mean he's wearing a costume.
MR: Yes…
TW: I told you I am not wearing the tights!
KK: No, actually you're dressed as a geeky mild-mannered reporter.
TW: What?
KK: Old school Clark outfit with a tweed suit and big dorky black glasses.
TW: Okay, that's alright.
ED: Didn't Brian say you were supposed to put Clark in tights this ep?
KK: And I care what he says, why? He is not messing with my episode.
AOT: And when he tries to change it?
KK: I have a back-up costume all ready. It's the Superman red and blue tights and cape…
TW: Kristin!
KK…but instead of the Superman logo, I've had them make a nice big colorful rainbow that perfectly matches the shades in the outfit.
ED: So the choices are Old School Clark or…
KK: Fabulousman! The gayest superhero ever. Brian will never let his beloved icon be corrupted that way.
JG: That might actually work.
KK: Thanks. Anyway Lois finally reaches the door at the end of the tunnel. She knocks again and Victor opens the door. "Ms. Lane, thank you for coming." Erica?
ED: "Guess you don't get trick or treaters down here."
KK: "I value my privacy. This room has state of the art jamming equipment to prevent anyone monitoring us."
MR: Quick cut to Clark listening, so we know it doesn't block him.
ED: "Who would be monitoring us?"
KK: "The government, shadow organizations, Lionel Luthor."
ED: "Lionel? What does he have to do with it?"
KK: "Everything." Vic steps aside and we see that the walls of the chamber are covered with a flow chart connected by strings running between the walls. At the center of the main wall is a huge picture of John. "Lionel Luthor is the key, the puppet master. It's possible he is the devil himself."
JG: Are we doing a Brimstone crossover?
KK: Well, I was thinking of using one of your old pictures.
ED: "Who are you? And what's this information for me?"
KK: "Victor Sage." He points to a series of linked laptops on the table. "I have compiled a set of data and we seem to have several points of common interest." He points to Lois' article tacked up on the wall. Next to it are images of the portal and Hasaad. A string connects them to an image of Zach and both images lead back to Lionel.
MR: Lois goes over to look at various parts of the wall. We see images of people and objects we recognize: the cave drawings, the symbol on Clark's barn, Kara, some kryptofreaks, Emily as both a child and adult, animals, and other random stuff.
ED: "What is all this?"
KK: "Clues, pieces of the puzzle. That little girl was part of one of Lionel Luthor's cloning experiments, one that led to his developing both man-killing rabbits as well as a cloned army."
ED: "Of little girls? With killer bunnies?"
KK: "It's diabolical."
JG: What in the hell is this? Lionel did not develop killer bunnies.
MR: But the Question thinks he did. He's famous for conspiracy theories.
ED: "I'm afraid to ask about the hair gel."
KK: "Lionel has his hair products imported from a lab in Australia. Most people think it's vanity, but the truth is that his hair gel and other products are chemically enhanced using pheromones, kryptonite, and hallucinogens to allow him influence people. They make people trust him, affect decision-making capabilities, and allows him to implant suggestions."
ED: "Mind controlling hair gel. I see. What's this picture of Martha Kent?"
MR: We see a thread leading from Lionel to Martha and around her pictures of Jonathan and other legislators with red Xs through them.
KK: "Luthor's own private Senator. You can see the pattern. Luthor systematically eliminated everyone who stood between her and her current position, probably because he found her most susceptible to his control."
ED: "Lionel didn't kill Jonathan Kent. Jonathan had a heart attack."
KK: "He covered his tracks, but Jonathan Kent's heart attack was chemically induced."
MR: Lois shakes her head and moves over to a section of the wall with various kryptonian writings.
ED: "Where did you get all of this?"
KK: "I have acquired all of the research done by Dr. Swann after the first Smallville meteor shower. The transmission he recorded, the evidence he acquired. I also have information on kryptonian acts here on earth, from a very reliable source. Including the damage caused by Zod and Kal-El as they've battled for control of this planet. I also know how Lionel has used kryptonian technology for his own purposes. He's managed to gain control of Kal-El, who is now working with Lionel against his son Lex."
ED: "Lex has been experimenting on the mutant population for years."
KK: "Building a force to combat his father and Kal-El."
ED: "His experiments killed my cousin."
KK: "Yes, a tragedy. The loss of Chloe Sullivan was a great blow to those of us seeking the truth."
ED: "The truth."
KK: "About the aliens who threaten this planet. Both Luthors are involved, but on opposite sides. Chloe Sullivan was close to unraveling it all. But now you've inherited her quest. That's why I need your help. Together we can prove that Lionel Luthor is behind all of this. We can expose him and Kal-El."
MR: At that point Lois notices a picture of Clark on the board, she pulls it down.
ED: "What's this?"
KK: "Clark Kent. He's deeply involved with all of this. I believe he may actually be Kal-El, the child sent to earth in that meteor shower." He hits a key on one of the laptops and we hear the clip of Chris Reeve saying "This is Kal-El of Krypton. Our infant son, our last hope...Please protect him and deliver him from evil."
MR: We get a reaction shot of Clark in the club, looking shocked. He pulls out his phone and hits the speed dial for Martha. We cut to her sitting in a car. She pulls out her phone and hits Ignore. It's dark and raining outside as she waits. The phone rings again and she answers after seeing that it's Lucius. Annette, John will you read this scene?
JG: Well, it's better than killer bunnies and mind-control hair products. "Martha."
AOT: "Lucius, where are you?"
JG: "I'll be there in a few minutes and I'm bringing someone for you to meet. My new second."
AOT: "What about Titian?"
JG: "I've realized I can no longer trust him. I'll explain it all in person. Let's go into this café."
MR: Martha looks out the window and sees a dark sedan, with two people in it pulling up in front of the coffee shop across the street. Martha gets out of her car. As she starts to walk around her car, she looks across the street. Lucius opens his door and starts to get out. Just so we can tell it's him as the car blows up.
AOT: You killed Lucius?
MR: Don't worry, I have a plan.
JG: Michael has a plan, don't we all feel better now?
TW: I've actually talked to him about this one, it's cool.
