KK: And we're back to Vic and Lois. Erica?
ED: "No way. I know Clark. He's a freak, but he's no alien."
KK: "Perhaps."
MR: Lois walks further down the wall looking at it. She trips over a large trunk and it falls over and opens. Out spills documents and photos, including a large one of Lana, the remains of an old conspiracy wall.
ED: "What's this?"
KK: "That was my original grand unified theory. I spent years compiling it from evidence gathered around the world." He picks up a photo of Isabel's tomb. "I found evidence that most of the world's events traced back either to Smallville, Kansas or to this woman's lineage. They were all masterminded by a diabolical force that seemed to call itself the Goughlar."
TW: Kristin! What the hell is this?
KK: Just having a little fun.
ED: "I can see why you'd abandon that. It's crazy."
KK: "No, actually. It made perfect sense. I couldn't find anything to contradict it."
ED: "Then why abandon it?"
KK: "It was just too horrible to contemplate. Who would want to continue living in such a world. I went thru a dark period before I decided to lock it away and explore other avenues."
ED: "Avenues that led to Lionel Luthor."
KK: "He may not control things on the level of the Goughlar. But he is an even more malevolent bastard.
JG: It's magnificent!
KK: You've see his work. The destructiveness of the aliens, the way he manipulates people and events. Will you help me stop him? Will you finish your cousin's work."
ED: "Alright, I'll investigate him with you, but I can't promise anything."
KK: "We'll need Chloe's research materials. I know that she had been accumulating data on Lionel since high school and I believe she was investigating Kal-El as well. Can you get to her data."
ED: "I have her laptop and I'll look to see what else I can find."
KK: "Bring it here and we can go thru it together."
ED: "Alright. I'll come back tomorrow."
KK: "Lois, be careful. Don't let anyone know you're working with me on this. Lionel has spies everywhere. He wouldn't hesitate to silence you."
MR: And now we cut back to Lex who is being put into the suit.
KK: Zabriska is monitoring everything nervously. "Are you sure you want to do this? I have pilot right here who is all set to make first test run." Zabriska motions to a classic military looking guy standing to the side. ‘It will be far safer and you will still be able to watch the run to make sure everything is as you want it."
MR: "I told you, I'll take care of the testing. Unless you expect something to go wrong?" He looks down at Zabriska questioningly.
KK: "Of course not, I am all but certain that everything will work perfectly."
MR: "Then there isn't a problem"
KK: "Well no. But this is first test run and there is always chance…"
MR: Lex interrupts him. "If you're confident then I see no reason to worry." And with that he is sealed into the suit. "Now Doctor, what can this baby do?"
KK: Still looking nervous. "Well, it has all your standard features; enhanced strength and speed, near impervious shielding, jet boosts, radar, thermal and night vision capabilities, the ability to zoom in your vision, as well as a wide variety of weapons ranging from guns, to missiles, to the alien weapons you sent us. Overall I cannot imagine anything that could stand up to it."
MR: "Perfect. Now, how does it work?"
KK: "It's actually quite simple. The suit has a neural interface based on some of the alien schematics. You see, there are a series of minute electrical charges running throughout the suit that monitor the precise neural pathways and…"
MR: Lex again cuts him off. "Spare me the technobabble Doctor, how do I operate it."
KK: "Of course. You simply have to think about what you want the suit to do and it will do it."
MR: With that the suit powers up and walks forward, the arms and legs moving as Lex tests it out. "This is truly amazing. And all of the systems work the same way?"
KK: "Yes sir. And if you simply think up a question, say ‘What weapons do I have?' the suit will give you a visual inventory.
MR: We see a diagram of the robot and a list of weapons appear on the screen in front of Lex. "This is incredible Doctor. I think you may have outdone yourself. And to think, my father thought I was giving your division too large of a budget."
JG: Is that really necessary?
MR: Yes.
KK: "Thank you, Mr. Luthor."
MR: "If everything works you can expect quite a raise in your future, besides the fact that you will be helping me save the world."
KK: "I am simply glad to be doing such good work."
MR: "Of course you are. Now" Lex walks up to a large pair of doors. "let's move on to the testing area."
KK: The doors open to reveal a large room with bare white walls. As Lex walks in we also see that standing all along the room are a bunch of Lana's, dressed in pink of course.
ED: You're in this episode?
TW: You know, for someone who wanted off the show so badly, you write yourself into episodes a lot.
KK: I'm trying to keep my fans happy enough that they don't start up some idiotic campaign to bring Lana back.
MR: Like mailing in pink peeps?
KK: Right. I just remind them every once and a while of Lana's worst qualities, so they won't want her back any more than I do.
AOT: I don't think anyone could want her back less than you do.
KK: That's not what the TWoP writers said. Besides, this is going to be well worth making the appearance.
