7.08 Apparition by KK & AoT (Part VII)

AoT: We come back to a long shot of the cemetery. The undead walking between the headstones as they return from wherever Clark threw them.
KK: In the background a black Chevy Impala drives by as we hear “Renegade” blasting from inside.
TW: Wait. What?
MR: Is that Impala the car from Supernatural?
KK: Yep, that’s Metallicar.
MR: They’re letting you use that?
KK: It’s part of a cross-promotional night that Jensen and I pitched to Dawn.
TW: Jensen? Is he coming back?
KK: Oh, no. But I’m going to do an episode of Supernatural. Jensen and I were joking about having Dean kill a sparkly pink-clad succubus and we decided to run it by Dawn. She loved the idea of cross-promoting the Thursday night shows, so they’re writing it into the teaser of their 8th episode.
AM: Dean is going to kill a Lana-demon?
KK: Basically. But since the scene will require heavy make-up, green screen and special effects shooting it may take some time to shoot, so I’m going to need some time away from our set. And since I’m writing this episode and Lana’s kind of integral in it, Dawn and I agreed that we’ll have to cut some, or maybe all, of my scenes in the last ep. Dawn ran it by Brian, and he had no problems cutting “those filler scenes”. Starting with the ones that require the most prep time in the make-up and hair chairs.
AM: You went to the network to get scenes cut form my episode? That’s low.
KK: Pot. Kettle. Black.
JG: Well at least now we know why Kristen was so calm earlier.
MR: Speaking of which. I totally won the bet.
[MR holds out his hand and TW gives him the $40]
ED: Dang it.
KK: I hope this whole experience has been a good lesson for you Allison. Maybe you'll think twice before you screw up everybody's ideas again.
AM: Annette, how could you let her do that to our episode?
AoT: Hey, cutting those scenes left more time for Martha. I’m singing another 2 verses now.
KK: Anyway, as Metallicar drives off it passes Lois. She screeches her car to a stop at the edge of the cemetery and gets out.
AoT: Clark is moving towards Nick as the zombies get closer. “Call them off, Nick.”
KK: “Why should I? I’m not hurting anyone.”
AoT: “What about those police officers?”
KK: “They shouldn’t have tried to stop me. We were just having some fun.”
AoT: “And this? Is grave robbing the new kegger?”
KK: “They’re dead. I’m giving them a second chance, just like I gave my friends.”
AoT: Lois is getting closer. “What is Clark doing? He’ll be killed. Come on, Ollie, where are you?” She stumbles on an open grave but a hand grabs her before she can fall in.
KK: She turns as she’s pulled to her feet and sees that it was Jimmy who saved her.
AoT: “Jimmy! Where have you been? Are you working this story? Where’s your camera?”
KK: Lois is talking loudly enough to have drawn Nick’s attention. “Grab her!”
AoT: Jimmy grabs Lois and holds her arms in place. “What are you doing? Why are you listening to him?”
KK: “Sorry, Lois, I’ve got a sucking check wound going here.” Lois stares at him in horror.
AoT: Nate walks up Jimmy. “Let’s make her one of us.”
KK: Clark keeps trying to talk to Nick. “Listen to me. These aren’t your friends. They’re remnants. You need to leave these people in peace.”
AoT: “You don’t know what it’s like.”
KK: “I know! I just lost the girl I’ve loved most of my life.”
AoT: “I can bring her back to you.”
KK: “Not the way she died. I wouldn’t do that to her and it wouldn’t really be her anyway. Lana would want me to stop you before anyone else gets hurt. You need to let these people go. Let them rest.”
AoT: “I don’t know how.”
KK: “We’ll find a way. We can get you help. Just tell them all to stop.”
AoT: Nick yells out for everyone to stop. Nate stops with a hand on Lois’ throat and protests. “Let her go.” Nate and Jimmy release Lois. “Sit down.” They sit so the only ones standing now are Clark, Nick, and Lois.
KK: Lois runs over to Clark. “That was either very stupid or very brave, Smallville.”
AoT: A black armored truck pulls up and four Project Ares commandos jump out. Commando A holds up a hand and a flash of light goes out like a stun grenade.
KK: Commando B points at Nick and he rises into the air and his arms are violently wrenched behind him.
AoT: Commando C approaches him and produces a sticky green rope from his mouth that binds Nick from shoulder to waist.
KK: Clark moves forward and behind him we see the undead getting to their feet and starting toward Nick to defend him. Commando A claps his hands and an energy wave goes out that slams Clark, Lois, and the undead back and to the ground.
AoT: Commando D, a blond woman, walks over grabs Nick. She carries him quickly to the truck and throws him into the back.
KK: The commandos jump into the truck and leave as a squad of police vehicles pulls up. Lois runs over to a police captain getting out of his car as Clark follows. “They took the Meta-Human who was controlling these people.”
AoT: The police captain nods and looks after the truck.
KK: “Aren’t you going to go after them?
AoT: “Go after them? We called them. They’re taking him to Luthercorp to be cured.”
KK: Clark and Lois exchange concerned looks.
