7.02 Divided by TW and JG (Part II)

as retold by RepairmanBob

TW: Clark says he should go talk to Lex
JG: “Clark, Lex would say pie tastes bad if you say it tastes good. He lies to you out of habit. I will go talk to him”
TW: “And why would he tell you anything?”
JG: “My well developed interview skills and my ability to inspire trust in others?”
KK: Misplaced trust.
TW: Clark looks unconvinced.
KK: So am I. Why would Lex talk to Chloe?
MR: Maybe Lex is a breast man?
KK: Only if they are Clark’s breasts.
JG: “Trust me, Clark. Even if he doesn’t tell me anything, it will save you the stress of dealing with him.”
TW: “Go ahead, Chlo. I have another idea.”
MR: Does it involve pie?
AoT: Or throwing someone 30 feet into a fall?
KK: It's Lana. He needs time to mope.

TW: Lex in his jail cell, looking frustrated. He is still wearing the suit from last episode, and has some stubble.
MR: Sexy!
JG: Chloe walks in. “How the mighty have fallen. What’s the matter, Lex, your lawyers couldn’t find a judge to bribe yet?”
TW: Lex stands up. “It is a funny story, Chloe. My father had frozen all of my accounts, and had me locked away from my resources at LuthorCorp. My public defender should be here in the next few weeks to discuss my case.” Lex smiles. “After I met with them, I will be sure to have you taken off of my visitor list.”
JG: “You told Clark you didn’t have anything to do with Lana’s death.”
TW: “And he did not believe me. Why should I repeat myself to you?”
JG: “Lex, if you want me to believe you, take my hand, look me in the eye and tell me you had nothing to do with what happened to Lana.”
TW: Lex walks over to Chloe and takes her hands. We hear Lex saying “I had nothing to do with Lana’s death”, and when he finishes we hear “I would never hurt Lana.”
KK: Huh?
AM: Chloe is reading Lex’s mind! Nice!
MR: Great, Lex gets outsmarted yet again.
JG: “Why were you at Reeves Dam, Lex?”
TW: Lex says “I was looking at a new purchase.” We hear “I was trying to get away from that alien monster”, and we see clips of the end of Phantom – childBizarro killing Lex’s staff, dissecting Titan, Lex running away.
JG: “What does the vent lead to, Lex? What is making green gas?”
TW: Lex says “I have no idea what you are talking about.” We hear “Green gas? The reactor must be venting refined meteor rock. It may have been damaged when the alien broke free.” Scenes of the reactor, full of greenK bricks, racks of Project Ares Soldiers (PAS), Wes being operated on.
JG: Chloe’s voice: “My god, Lex, when did you become such a monster?"
TW: Lex pulls back, looks offended. “I am not a monster, Chloe.”
JG: Chloe looks surprised – her telepathy works two ways. She backs away, keeping eye contact with Lex until she gets through the door. On the way out, she passes a blond woman.

TW: Clark is in an office, talking on his cell phone: “A meteor rock powered reactor? Ok, try to get into the LuthorCorp database, and see what you can find out.”
AM: Great back to hacking.
AoT: At least you have been in the episode so far.
JG: Be patient, Annete. We have several good scenes for Martha and Lionel coming up.
AoT: Do they get together?
TW: No!
JG: (Frowns at TW) Not with Tom as a co-writer, sadly.
TW: “Yes, I know it is harder than it sounds. Just do your best.”
KK: Sounds like something Chloe would tell Jimmy during sex.
AM: Hey!
TW: (Sigh) Clark turns to Oliver. We see we are in a Queen Industries building.
MR: You are bringing Ollie back?
TW: Comic heroes bring ratings.
KK: Unles you screw them up beyond all recognition, like this show does.
JG: Ollie says is unsympathetic for Lana. She choose to enter a den of snakes and was bitten. He is, however, upset that Lois got involved. Taking down Lex isn't just business now it's personal
MR: Wow, that’s original.
TW: “In the Level 33.1 facilities you and the League have taken down, have you seen any kind of reactor?”
JG: “No, nothing like you are talking about. I will have Victor check our data. If he finds anything Bart will run it out to Chloe. He has been bugging me for an excuse to go see her, anyway.”
AM: Hurray!
TW: “She has a – "
JG: “Boyfriend, yes I know. Like that has ever stopped Bart. Listen, Clark, have you given any more thought to joining the League? We could really use your help out there. For every Level 33.1 facility we take down, two more seem to pop up. Hell, we can even use your sidekick to help coordinate missions.”
TW: Clark seems reluctant. “Oliver, I still don’t know about your methods. You just admitted you haven’t stopped Lex, and people could get hurt–“
JG: “Innocent people are being hurt, Clark, everyday in those labs. Every facility we shut down puts us one step closer to putting Lex out of the monster making business once and for all. Tell you what– when you are ready to get off the farm and actually make a difference, you have my number.”
AoT: I am impressed at the difference between the two heroic characters. They both have legitimate, but conflicting, points of view. Did you write this, John?
JG: Actually, Tom did.
KK: And yet, Clark still looks like an lazy ass.
TW: Wait and see.

TW: Chloe and Clark are back at the damn.
JG: Chloe expositions that if the reactor is still running, then they may be able to get access to data on Project: Ares, Level 33.1, and all of Lex's other secret projects, while he is too bust fighting with Lionel to notice. “We could even figure out how they always seem to get piles of meteor rock. I bet Lex has a search algorithm that uses satellite imagery to locate GreenK deposits. I wonder if Ollie –
TW: “I don’t want to talk about the Luthors or Oliver, Chloe. I just want to find a way to shut down this reactor before anyone gets hurt. Were you able to find anything?”
JG: “Well, the Illegal Atomic Reactor with Meteor Rock Filling Instruction handbook was on back order, Clark. Did Oliver find anything –“
TW: “No, the League hasn’t seen anything like this.”
JG: “Hey, do you think Oliver would be willing to help me with a story on Lex’s labs after we finish this up?”
TW: Clark snaps “Stay on task, Chloe.”
JG: “Fine, fine. I can go talk to Lex again.”
TW: “No more Lex!” Clark smashes something.
KK: Good to see Clark is working on his anger management issues.
JG: “Clark, I don’t think Lex killed Lana.”
TW: “Then who did Chloe?”
JG: “Wrong question. Ask yourself who would want Lex to take the fall for killing Lana? Who just got back control of LuthorCorp, and considers parental abuse an Olympic sport?”
TW: Clark frowns, and runs off.
