Let's not overreact. You still have input on this episode and control over your remaining episodes for the season. It's not our fault you co-star has demanded editorial control. Negotiation has turned out to be much more difficult than we anticipated. Your understanding is appreciated.

Alli,
As we continue to negotiate contracts there's been a slight change of plan RE your episode. As you may have heard negotiations remain tense and we've conceded near full control of your script as well as control over casting for the episode.
Your input is still very much appreciated but I'm confident you'll love what she's come up with so far.
Here's the teaser she's come up with. I'm sure you'll find it as exciting as we do.
[Shot of a tropical island. Smoke rises from a large compound.]
PompousCWVoice: When Clark and his friends go in to take out Lex's last research facility.
[Lex's study. Hope stands in front of Lex's desk. Ominous drums.]
Hope: "We've planned for this, sir. The Green Arrow's mercenaries will be defeated."
PompousCWVoice: He quickly learns...
[Cut to Oliver battling freaks]
Oliver: "Watchtower! I need backup and I need backup now!"
[Cut to Cyborg patched into the security system]
Cyborg: "I'm a little busy."
[A flash of electricity comes out at him and he falls to the ground.]
[Cut to Oliver's apartment]
Chloe: "Cyborg, Cyborg? Can you hear me?"
PompousCWVoice: That anything...
[Lex's study]
Lex: "I want you to oversee Green Arrow's defeat personally."
Hope: "My pleasure, sir."
[Shot of a Luthorcorp plane approaching the island. A woman dressed in black from head to toe parachutes out.]
PompousCWVoice: ...and everything...
[Clark fighting a seven or eight foot freak in the background. Oliver shouts into a comm link.
Oliver: "We have the situation under control!"
Chloe: "It doesn't sound like it from here!"
[Shot of Clark falling to the ground]
PompousCWVoice: ...can go wrong.
[Oliver is buried in rubble. The woman from the plane takes his communicator off his ear. We hear Chloe, "This is Watchtower. Can anyone hear me? What's going on?"
Woman: "Things aren't going very well at all, 'Watchtower'. Your team is defeated."
PompousCWVoice: On the next Smallville.
Woman: "Didn't anybody ever warn you about messing with Lex Luthor?"
PompousCWVoice: The justice league finally meets its match.
[Cut back to Lex's study]
Lex: "This time I win."
[At the island Clark and Oliver kneel over an unconscious victor. A dozen freaks appear from behind a hill.]
Oliver: "This doesn't look good."
[Cut to Lex's study. Hope is standing in front of his desk.]
Lex: "And Hope."
Hope: "Yes sir."
Lex: "I want him and his minions taken alive."
[Cut back to Oliver and the woman.]
Oliver: "Are you going to kill me or not?"
Woman: "I'm tempted. But that's not what I'm here for."

P.S. We are aware you remain opposed to casting Kristen Bell in a significant role on our show but frankly this would be a major casting coup. Miles and I agree she is a perfect fit for the role and if all works out we expect you to treat her with the same professionalism you extend your other cast members.
