ED lunches with AoT

ED: But enough about me. What's the scoop with Smallville these days?
AoT: Truthfully not much. Everybody misses you though.
ED: Oh, that's so sweet. I should come by and visit sometime!
AoT: Actually, maybe not.
ED: But you said...
AoT: Everybody misses you but John and Allison.
ED: Still? I tried to explain to him...
AoT: I know. He won't let it go.
ED: And Allison? I thought she'd be happy for me?
AoT: Well, I guess in a way she is.
ED: I should talk to her. Did she get the flowers I sent?
AoT: Lilies?
ED: Yeah! I guess she did.
AoT: They're still sitting at the foot of her trailer.
ED: Wow. That's some long listing lilies!
AoT: Actually she dumped them out the day they arrived. They're still lying there.
ED: Oh. And the episodes? How are they episodes going?
AoT: Things are kind of at a standstill.
ED: Really? Why?
AoT: Allison brought Lana back to life and has her working with Lionel. Kristen went completely ballistic. Tom's afraid to write a word of the second episode until it all gets resolved.
ED: Seriously? How long has this been going on?
AoT: A couple weeks. Allison is afraid to come out of her trailer. Al and Miles don't dare set foot on the set. It's like a real live old west showdown.
ED: Why don't you just... body slam a few people and get things back on track?
AoT: I probably will but my husband has been in town so I'm enjoying the time off. Besides, I'm not going to get things started again until I'm guaranteed a good arc this year.
ED: Good luck on that.... so is it true? What I heard they did with Lois?
AoT: You mean kill her?
ED: Yes.
AoT: It's true.
ED: I don't get it? How can they kill off Lois?
AoT: Would you come back if...
ED: That's not the point! Lois is iconic! It's like... killing Captain America or something. Send Lois off to college for Pete's sake! You know?
AoT: Oh, I know. You'll have to ask Allison. I wasn't in on those negotiations.
ED: It's too bad Jeph Loeb is gone. He'd never allow something like that.
AoT: I'm sorry, Erica.
ED: Well, I guess the upside is they can't re-cast Lois and Suzanne Sommers me.
AoT: You think they'd hire another actress as Lois?
ED: It's Al and Miles. What wouldn't they do?
AoT: They wouldn't hire someone as Lana to replace Kristen. She offered. Actually I heard she offered, then threatened, then pleaded, then begged. They wouldn't budge. The next thing you know Al and Miles are afraid to set foot on the set anymore and Allison has her trailer barricaded.
ED: Sounds like a mess. I'm glad I'm out.
AoT: It's been fun to watch. But once my husband leaves town and they've promised me plenty of screen time I'll straighten things out.
